A soft bush plays a childish game of ruff and tumble with the breeze, the date tree above me waves and whips. The warmth of a hand in mine and the soporific chatter of people, just like the distant buzzing of bees. Lights playing over my eyes all keep me earthed in my own world. But in my mind I am somewhere else, a golden wheat field coved over my head, a single, small black bird floating almost motionless in the ever reaching blue sky. |
